01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
About this place
Located along a quiet street in Koto Ward's Shiomi district, Yakiniku Wagyu Fujin is a welcoming grill house where diners gather around tabletop charcoal fires for quality beef and a varied selection of Korean dishes. Signature beef cuts bearing the restaurant's name—including Wagyu Fujin Kalbi short rib, Wagyu Fujin Roast loin, and Wagyu Fujin Harami skirt steak—feature balanced marbling and tender texture, releasing rich, sweet juices with a brief sear over the coals. The grill menu extends to sesame-seasoned thin-sliced salted tongue, prime rib intercostal cuts, and richly textured offal such as tender jo-horumon and springy jo-mino.
Side Dishes and Small Plates to Pair with Grilled Beef
Alongside the grilled meats, the kitchen offers kimchi platters, namul, and lettuce wrap sets, as well as chilled sashimi-style specialties including horse meat yukhoe and boiled beef omasum. To close out the meal, guests can choose from spicy sundubu-jjigae or kimchi-jjigae bubbling in hot stone bowls, chilled Korean-style naengmyeon noodles, or stone-cooked bibimbap with its fragrant crisped rice crust. Those ordering gukbap soups can substitute udon noodles for rice to suit their appetite.
From Lunchtime Sets to Evening Drinks
During weekday lunch, reasonably priced set meals come with small side dishes and soup, featuring combinations like the Service Jo-Yakiniku Set of prime beef trimmings and pork rib, or the Wagyu Kalbi Set. With draft beer, Kaku highballs, makgeolli, and an assortment of shochu sours on hand, the dining room caters comfortably to solo diners unwinding after work as well as meals with family and friends.
